TMJ
Many people suffer from Temporal-Mandibular Joint or "TMJ" disorders. Symptoms of this problem can range from a clicking or popping of the jaw as it opens to extreme pain during movement of the jaw. Many of these symptoms can be treated with a TMJ splint. This splint, made of a clear resin, helps in relaxing overused muscles, allowing the jaw to be in a comfortable position for healing of the joints. Even though many TMJ problems can be improved with a splint, other treatment may be required. An individualized treatment plan must be discussed with Dr. Saunders for the correct course of action for you.
